Case Study

Reducing costs & Increasing Efficiency

Fourteen IP deployed Evolution Voice across 42 hotels in the UK during 2016 the roll out was to replace on premise PBX systems that had been in place for 15-20 years and were no longer under support.

As part of the roll out we removed all existing ISDN trunks and also any analogue trunks that could be ceased and moved voice traffic to pass over the guest internet circuits. New IP telephones were deployed with many ‘piggy backing’ of the existing PC to allow the use of a single cable.

The initial roll out was based upon both a need to replace systems but also a reduction in costs now and in the future. This has been supported by a reduction in call costs per room of 0.50 per month. With a single system in place across all sites we have been able to analyse call patterns to the operators at each property and design a centralised operator solution that will save the group several million pounds in costs over the next 3 years. We have also been able to quickly integrate and deploy our wireless voice application for smart devices to allow DECT systems to be replaced and further cost savings to be made.

Moving to the cloud was stage one, implementing a platform that allows for changes to be made as quickly as the business requires them, flexing costs both up and down and allowing new solutions to be integrated quickly in to a single Unified Communications solution. Reducing costs & Increasing Efficiency

Fourteen IP deployed Evolution Voice across 42 hotels in the UK during 2016 the roll out was to replace on premise PBX systems that had been in place for 15-20 years and were no longer under support.

As part of the roll out we removed all existing ISDN trunks and also any analogue trunks that could be ceased and moved voice traffic to pass over the guest internet circuits. New IP telephones were deployed with many ‘piggy backing’ of the existing PC to allow the use of a single cable.
